내용: 무인항공기 자동 비행 관련 자문 및 강의
무인항공기의 자동비행을 위한 전 과정, 즉 모델링부터, 선형화, 제어기/유도기 설계, 비행 제어시스템 구현 및
소프트웨어 개발, 실제 비행에 이르기까지의 전반적인 과정을 다룬다.
비행 운동 방정식은 6자유도 강체 운동 모델을 근간으로 하며, 관련하여 공력 모델링, 관성 모델링, 구동기
모델링, 센서모델링 등을 소개한다. 또한 비행 실험을 통한 모델링의 확인, Hardware-in-the-Loop
시뮬레이션을 소개한다. 제어기 설계를 위한 선형화 과정, 그리고 종축, 횡/방향축으로 나뉘어진 선형 모델에
대한 제어기 설계를 다루고, 다음으로 여러가지 유도 방식 - 점항법 유도, 경로 추종 유도, 상대 방위각을
이용한 목표물 주위 유도 -을 소개한다. 마지막으로 관련된 다양한 비행 실험 결과들을 제시한다.

Microdomain Formation on Giant Unilamellar Vesicles with Phase Field Approach 강연: 
presents the phase eld approach to capture the formation and evolution of microdomains on giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs) which are simplied forms of closed biomembranes. The phase eld approach is based on a chemo-mechanical model involving the eects of the shape deformation and phase separation on GUVs. The phase separation is modeled by a Cahn{Hilliard type energy functional that characterizes the line energy
between domains of dierent species. The shape deformation is characterized by the generalized Canham{Helfrich{Evans curvature energy. The model is cast in a phase-eld framework, thus facilitating a diuse interface approximation of the vesicle surface and the lipid components on the surface. The model gives rise to the fourth-order nonlinear system of equations for the shape deformation and phase separation. In this talk, we discuss about computational challenge and introduce the discontinuous-Galerkin formulation to model the shape deformation of GUVs.

내용: Lecture on “Numerical Approximation of Fluid-Structure Interaction Problems”
Simulating fluid-structure interactions is challenging due to the tight coupling between the solid
and fluid substructures in a moving domain. Explicit and implicit decoupling methods often either
fail or require relaxation when densities of the two materials are close. In this talk both monolithic
and decoupling approaches are considered for analytical and numerical studies of fluid-structure
interaction problems where a fluid is governed by a Newtonian or non-Newtonian model. An optimization
based method which allows the problems to be stably decoupled is discussed and numerical
results are presented.

During staying in CSE department, I discussed functional MREIT with Prof. Jin Keun Seo in CSE department of Yonsei University and Prof. Habib Ammari from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. We complete the mathematical part of our collaboration work “Functional magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography”. After modifying some minor mistakes and complete the abstract, introduction and discussion and conclusion part we will submit this paper.

During the staying in CSE department, I also participate the medical imaging team seminar and give a talk on our recent work “functional magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography”. Moreover, I did the human experiment by using EIT machine in CSE department.

During participating the medical imaging team seminar, we discussed a lot on the conference presentation that many people will give ICIAM 2015. I give some suggestions on student’s presentations.

Prof. Jin Keun Seo suggest me to visit Rosalind Sadleir in Arizona State University to collaborate more on functional MREIT. Three of us make a strong connection between each other on this interesting area.

We also discussed the future collaborations and other aspects.

요약: 기능형 자기공명임피던스이미징에 관한 계산수치해법을 공동연구하였다. 기능에 의해 전도도가 국소적으로 변할 때 이를 짧은 시간내에 감지하는 수리모델을 세우고 그 모델의 정당성을 수학적으로 증명하였다. 이 연구는 방문교수인 아마리교수, 본학과 졸업생인 권혁남과도 공동연구를 진행하고 있다.

Neurons in the pre-Botzinger complex (pBC) within the mammalian
brainstem produce the inspiratory phase of the respiratory rhythm.
Experimental results have suggested that multiple bursting mechanisms
based on a calcium-activated nonspecific cationic (CAN) current, a
persistent sodium (NaP) current, and Ca dynamics may be incorporated
within the pBC. Previous modeling works have studied only subsets of
these mechanisms. In this study, we consider a single-compartment model
of a pBC inspiratory neuron, which encompasses all these features. We
discuss the mathematical analysis of the interaction of these bursting
mechanisms, which requires treatment of a system incorporating three
slow variables.
